Day 30: What have I learned

Day 23: A very sad day
I was waiting for the train home and someone jumped in front of it, ending her life. It was shocking and sad. The Trains stopped running so I walked home instead. I counted so many single drivers and I thought that the girl who jumped must also have felt alone in this world.Â
Day 18: Long time no see!
I met a friend on the train  I had not seen in years. It turns out she lives just down the road! It was great to catch up and I almost missed my stop.
Day 13: Books are heavy
I’m exhausted. I had to bring three heavy bags of books home today and it almost killed me. I almost asked Kristian to take them home in the car, but I would never hear the end of that. Maybe I should get a bigger backpack.
Day 9: No carpooling allowed
I decided that carpooling counts as driving. It still burns fossil fuel, and I want to support the public transport system. Kristian doesn’t understand this logic.
Day 8: Does carpooling count?
It was pouring rain and I could not find an umbrella, so I accepted a ride to the university with Kristian. It kind of makes sense that I join him in the car, since he is driving there anyway. Carpooling is better than nothing, right?
Day 4: Missed the bus…
I missed the bus. They are not supposed to arrive before the scheduled time! I was late for my lecture but the students didn’t seem to mind. Next time I will take an earlier bus, just in case.
Day 1: This is going to be easy!
Not driving for a month won’t be a problem for me. The Prius is parked in the garage and I just bought a monthly pass for the bus and metro for 660 NOK (USD 100).
